We’re back up to a full compliment of podcast regulars this week. I’d like it to be recorded, just in case, that the podcast crew tried to kill me – at one point I laughed so much that I thought I might burst, either with a hernia or with a colourful head explosion..
This week, we took a look at Marvel’s new scheme to mark an easy entry point to their series for newcomers – Marvel Now! (yes, really). We also spoke briefly about the Sony acquisition of Gaikai in the news segment.
We’d all done things this week, which always makes it more interesting for the section about what we’ve been up to. I spoke about Dawnguard, the brand new DLC for Skyrim before Kris talked about Warpath: Jurassic Park, the ancient PlayStation fighting game. I think he was more enthusiastic about that than I was about Dawnguard.
Lewis talked about Safe House which stars Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington and then later he told us a bit about The Woman in Black, a film about a woman who wears black. That one stars Harry Potter, I think.
Kev has been playing Space Marine and I played a little bit of Max Payne 3 while Kris has been reading Gates of Gotham (which he barely mentions) and decided to tell us about Gotham Central instead. That sounds like a really interesting book and it’s just come out in a trade collection so I’ll have to nip to the shops very soon.
We had our usual quiz and questions which, as usual, prompted some quite bizarre discussion and lots (and lots) of laughter.
- You can send questions via email to podcasts[at]thesixthaxis.com.
- You can also tag your questions on Twitter with #tsacast and, provided you’re not on a private account, we’ll see them in our search each week. Finally, as usual, there’s a questions thread in the forum, courtesy of the bizarre rantings of SolidSteven.
This podcast features strong language, jokes in poor taste and adult themes, if you’re offended by that then we recommend that you don’t listen to it at all.
- As usual, you can grab the MP3 file here (right click to download).
- You might want to get it (when the RSS catches us) on the RSS feed, here.
- Or we’re on iTunes, when iTunes feels like updating. You can also leave us a review and subscribe there, if you want to be particularly lovely.

Still waiting for that apology… :P
The Lone Steven
I believe we should deduct Kev’s biscuits for abusing everyone, by *puts finger to mouth* 1million biscuits. Also, i think Peter may have wet himself due to Kev and Lewis. Can you make Kris Ragequiting a weekly feature? Also, i’m surprised Kev didn’t read out the SPAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEE! part of my post in the thread. :O
Excellent podcast guys. I do listen to them but just cba to comment on them. What? Don’t judge me!

was this podcast an attempt to balance out all the praise for Kris last week or something?
or was Lewis just jealous?
^_^
Cyclops has died, at least once.
in fact i think most of the X-Men have died at least once.
oh and Jean Grey might be making the latest of her many Resurrection soon, apparently.
i don’t know if Quicksilver ever had a car, but i know Spider-Man did once, and it could drive up walls.
i think bill oreilly would ask of the higgs boson, “but how’d it get there?”
but then he’s a dick. ^_^
i don’t think the vampires in Dawnguard really thought their blot out the sun plot through fully.
without the sun they will be free to walk around all the time, but then all the other life would die out wouldn’t it?
what would they feed on then?
i wanted to watch that Ultramarines movie, it’s a shame it apparently that bad.
it sounded pretty good from all the prerelease press.
i’d love to see more of the whole 40k universe, that’s why i was looking forward to the mmo, that recently got cancelled.
the Space Marine game was a good introduction to the universe though.
i’ve always wanted to see one of these fantasy universes after they reach a technological age, so the 40k universe is something i’d like to see more of.
don’t Marvel have a police book set in their universe?
Powers or something.
i only know of it because there’s talk of a tv series of it being made.
i got six on the quiz, but i also got the link, so that makes 7, does that mean i tie with Peter? ^_^
