The news comes via the Gran Turismo 5 Asia Championship 2012 (and picked up by 4gamer), where the Polyphony head refused to talk release dates for the next big Sony sim racer.
“If I carelessly say when it will be released,” he said, “you’ll end up with people saying things like ‘it’s been delayed again!?’ so I will no longer say at this type of event.”
Probably quite wise, considering the backlash at the delays Gran Turismo 5 got.
Gran Turismo 6 currently doesn’t have a platform confirmed, but we’re hoping for PS Vita.

i can already see the other headlines sprouting from that interview
“Yamauchi: GT6 … deleayed again!”

Got to be a PS4 release surely?

I think its coming next gen wuld be an awesome PS4 launch title

Bullcrap. People moaned about the absence of GT5 long before they released an official release date. The delays after the release date was announced were just the tip of the iceberg.

Possibly a first in cross platform remote play title?
It would be a masterstroke by Kaz if that deliciousness could be implemented using the current gen PS3, paired with the Vita!
My guess is that GT6 will be a PS3 title…..remote play cross platform or not.

Personally I’m not bothered, don’t get me wrong as I seriously enjoy 5 but I’m in no rush for the next version.
Kinda hoping it’ll be a launch title for the next Playstation
JBoo
Oh no it’s been delayed 10 times now…LoL:D

So, he’s really saying “I’m not going to give you a release date, because you’ll expect me to stick to it, and get mad when I don’t”. Yeah, sure Kaz. Our bad.

A release date for GT games is really a not before date.
Grey_Ghost13
If you go by the previous releases of the series, there has been 2 for each console. So I’m hpoing for it on the PS3.
