Hideo Kojima’s landmark series, Metal Gear, is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary. All eyes seem to be transfixed on the recently announced sequel “Ground Zeroes” though SuperBot and SCE have also capitalised on the celebrations, offering fans a quick look at Raiden as he makes a razor-sharp Battle Royale debut.
From what we can see Raiden likes to get up close and personal with his opponents, unleashing a hail of blade-based attacked (hell, he even has swords coming out of his feet.) Not only that, his cybernetically-enhanced skills as a ninja also allows for a great deal of maneuverability; one clips shows Raiden completely evading an otherwise fatal super attack from Sly Cooper.

I hope an alternative costume means we can play as MGS2 Raiden instead of robot Raiden.

i can’t be the only one who’d rather have had Snake.
but then no doubt Konami allowed this to promote Rising, so Raiden it is.
maybe the devs should get on the line to Crystal Dynamics to see if they can get Lara in the game, she’s got a game coming out, though it really doesn’t need the push like Rising might.

Snake is a Super Smash character, so i guess there were licensing issues with him.
