TGS 2012 isn’t far off now and, as expected, we’re already getting drips and drabs of info on what is likely to be next year’s system-seller for the Nintendo 3DS. Currently exclusive to the 3D-enabled platform, Monster Hunter 4 is the same-old action RPG in which players are tasked with slaying magnificent beasts before harvesting them into better weapons and equipment.

For many, one of the most significant inclusions to any Monster Hunter game is the latest weapon(s) on show. Dubbed the “Misaomushi Cane” MH4’s contribution to the series’ arsenal offers something a little more unique in comparison to the game’s previous array of killing instruments.
Each cane houses an insect companion which can be used to “extract” temporary buffs and support abilities from targeted monsters; given the design of the weapon, we assume that players will be able to perform regular attacks whilst monitoring their drone-like projectiles.

*sigh* i really don’t like reading about monster hunter anymore as i just get depressed with the lack of a solid release for the ps3.
I must admit though… in a year or so after this is out and this game is still showing no sign of showing up on any other console, then i must admit i will have to cave in and buy a 3ds, solely for this game.
But i will grumble whilst doing so!!
