New Fuse Screens and Release Window

Insomniac’s Overstrike looked really interesting, back in 2011 when it was announced. It’s since had a name change and a change in style that seems to indicate a different – perhaps more generic – direction for the 4-player co-op shooter. There’s still plenty to set it apart on the PlayStation though, the third person co-op action is going to feel nice and fresh to a lot of PlayStation fans.

The EU PS Blog has just gone live with a post about how the game is coming along. It’s typical enthusiastic stuff from Brian Allgeier of Insomniac Games but it does seem like there’s genuine enthusiasm for this project from within Insomniac. It’s due out in March 2013, along with just about everything else.

  1. Wow, cover shooting and lots of GREY! Awesome!

  2. Ouch why are they doing a suicide?(March release)

    • GOW and GOW both released within 4 days of each ever plus tomb raider earlier march …It doesn’t stand much of a chance.

  3. Looks worrying to me, very bland and grey but maybe the 4 player co-op could be its saving grace.

  4. I’m having a hard time beliving this is coming from Insomniac, it looks dull and generic. Co-op could be fun, but it’s not enough. Its not enough!

    • It’s also from EA, so there’s your answer :/

    • The first trailer was identifiably Insomniac. The second trailer and those above images could be made by anyone. I do hope Insomniac are making a game in their own style and what we are seeing now is just a poor representation of their work.

  5. Think I’ll stick with Borderlands 2 ta. The over the top weapons/characters etc they showed in the original trailer was what hooked me in.

They will have to go some to get my interest back now…
