General Rules
- Up to three Championships will run side by side, and all will be equal in terms of settings and rules.
- Cars will all be set to equal.
- There will be 5 weeks of racing. If there are more than one championships, then the 5th week will be the final, featuring the top 15 racers from all the championships.
- There will be no reserves. If a driver cannot make a race then they shall receive 0 points.
- The days and times for the three groups are as follows: Group A is Sunday at 5pm, if we have Group B then it will be on Monday at 7pm and similarly Group C on Tuesday at 8pm.
- Each race race will be preceeded by a qualifying session. 5 lap races by a one-shot qualifying, and 25% races by a full session.
- Races will be set at 25% race distance with the exception of a cross-Championship final which will be at 50%.
- Weather will be set to dynamic.
- A member of the community team will be in charge of each group. Which member of the CT team is in charge of which group will be announced at the same time the participants are announced.
- The CT members decision is always final. The CT member has full power to disqualify someone from the race or competition should it be needed. They also have the power to deduct points for those who break the rules or for those who do not drive fairly.
- We ask that drivers try to avoid incidents at all cost and allow extra room when overtaking and generally be careful around other cars online.
- Please drive fairly. If you make a mistake at the disadvantage of another then please do the fair and polite thing. Treat other drivers in this way and they will treat you the same.
- Make sure that if you spin out and try to get back on track that you don’t obstruct any of the other drivers.
- If you are being lapped you must let the car that is lapping you past as quickly as possible and not obstruct them.
- Weaving across the track is forbidden.
- You may only block a car that is trying to overtake as long as it is safe and then only once. Continuously blocking so the other car cannot overtake safely is not fair driving.
- Drivers will be paired into teams in the interest of making pit stops fair. If drivers on the same team pit at the same time they will queue in the pits. It is unavoidable that some drivers will be on the same team so we thought it fair to make all the drivers be in teams. For the interest of the championship you will not be actually driving as a team, you will just be using the same car and we shall try and put players who are not likely to pit at the same time in the same team.
- When raising a post-race issue please do so discreetly and to the CT member in charge of your group, not over the website or Twitter.
- We will wait for up to 10 minutes after the starting time in the lobby for people who are a little late with the CT member in charge being able to use their discretion here if a little extra time is needed. During this time we will often have a 3 lap race as practice.

Dont have the game yet :/ Annoyingly can’t join. I had fun in the last championship…
Jambo
Get your practice in while you can ;)
Will be getting my copies in a few days :P
Sitorimon
Will quickly see first, I know already I won’t be able to make 1 round on a Sunday so I feel a bit mean taking up someone’s place even though I love F1 racing :)
AshGraham99
Looking forward to this as always. Reckon we’ll definitely be having at least 2 groups though! Hopefully I’ll go one better than last year. Interested to see how the video coverage works.
Jambo
So who wants to be a Williams teammate? :P
AshGraham99
Think you should join the dark side of Lotus!
Jambo
NEVER!
Jambo
Though I don’t mind Lotus as a team, just could never abandon Team Willy!
They need a better nickname though…

Hopefully there’ll be enough people entering so that it extends to the Monday 7pm slot that’s been mentioned. I can’t really enter the tournament on a Sunday at that time, for a few reasons.
But anyway, if I can’t enter the tournament due to a lack of people entering and it not stretching to a Monday gig, I will always be on hand during the week/weekend to practice with you all…..if you’ll have me :P
freezebug2
If it does stretch to a Monday evening though, I want the Mclaren as always!
cam the man
Looking forward to the comp, as always it’ll be fun.
I’ve sorted the problem with my wheel (at last) so I hope I can do a bit better than last time.
Jag
I really enjoyed taking part in the first championship but couldn’t commit to the second one for personal reasons.
This year I bought F1 2012 on PC because I didn’t want to risk the same framerate issues as F1 2011 on PS3 even though it turned out that 2012 is much better on PS3.
I don’t suppose there are many others here who play on PC are there?
Jambo
Am getting it on PC as well as PS3 :)
