Just a quick note to let you know that the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection has already sprung into life on the PlayStation Vita here in Europe.
[drop2]We’ll be back with the main Store Update post as soon as we’re able, but in the meantime if you’ve got a PlayStation Vita and are a Plus subscriber, you can now log onto the Store and grab Uncharted Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Chronovolt and Mutant Blobs for nothing.You’ll need to search for them, but they’re there. We’re assuming a Plus section will appear on the Store once the games are officially mentioned by PlayStation.
For more details on what Plus brings to the PlayStation Vita, check our reveal post from last week. For reference, those without Plus will find that Chronovolt is a fiver, and is presumably OK to download if you’re not a subscriber right now.
The rest of the Store Update will filter through over the afternoon, and we’ll do our usual round-up post later once everything’s organised.

Gravity Rush is not showing at discount price yet & Chronovolt doesn’t seem to be there at all, is that right?

I went to the vita list of games. All plus stuff shows up in there including discounts like modnation for about £4.80

Yes, I used ‘search’ but I don’t have a Vita so was using my PS3, will take a look later after full update is live to see if Gravity Rush is reduced & Chronovolt becomes available

Already have Mutant Blobs and Uncharted – both great games. I’m looking forward to trying Chronovolt. I didn’t really take to the Gravity Rush demo but i might as well give it another go on plus.

Just a heads-up for anyone not on plus and thinking of buying Chronovolt … it’s got IAPs, each time you begin a level it gives you the option of buying a better ball from the store. I would be a bit annoyed if i had paid for the game and only found out about the IAPs afterwards.

Cheers, that’s really not that big :). Compared to the 3.4GB of Uncharted it’s nothing. Might go for the 90 day sub and delete UC:GA off my Vita to free up some space.

just for info purposes i have managed to squeeze the following onto a 16gb card.
uncharted, wipeout 2048, zen pinball 2 (all tables), hustle kings, everybody’s golf, mutant blobs, motostorm rc, ridge racer(all cars&tracks), gravity rush, chronovolt, escape plan and have 1080mb left according to system information .
should give newbies to vita a fair idea of what can be achieved without card swapping .

I’m getting a Vita for Christmas so, before I sign up for Plus, could somebody please confirm that if I download Uncharted, Blobs etc, then I’ll be able to transfer them to my PS Vita at a later date?
Also, are these game permanently free? Or do you lose the ability to play them if you stop paying for Plus, the ‘deal’ expires etc?
The Plus support for the Vita has made the decision to get one very simple. More please Sony.

You can download them on the PS3 and then transfer to the Vita at a later date. If you stop being a Plus Subscriber the games are no longer playable (unless your re-sub or purchase them normally)

Thanks dude. Nothing you’ve said puts me off, as £35 a year is way cheaper than buying the games anyways. Bring on the trumpets.
