Rainbow Moon: First PS Vita Trailer

The PSN hit Rainbow Moon, developed by SideQuest Studios, was promised for PS Vita a while back. Today publisher EastAsiaSoft released the first footage of the handheld version and it looks fantastic on the Vita’s screen.

The title could well be perfectly suited as a handheld game, particularly for grinding on the go. You can read more about the game via our look at the PlayStation 3 version from the middle of last year – Dan said the game looked “very impressive indeed.”

Vita owners can expect the title later this year.

  1. Win!! For 2 reasons, I didn’t buy this on PS3 as I wanted it on Vita, and the Vita NEEDS an RPG!!

    • Well it does need more but it does already have on in Persona 4 Golden.

      • The best game of 2012 on any platform according to its Metacritic score I believe.

I’m waiting until after my exams in May before getting that though- could be dangerous to my studies otherwise! :P

    • Disagea 3 also :)

    • True, I forgot about that one……needs MORE RPGs! ;)

  2. Great news! Loved this on PS3! Definitely getting this for Vita. I think I’ll aim for a dual fastest Plat :D

  3. Excellent.

Opted against buying it on PS3 because of grinding.

On the Vita however, I’d have no problem with that- my portable gaming habits are different to my home console habits, just check my Pokémon save files for proof!

Although- how often can you save? From a menu or at designated save points? Hopefully from a menu anytime I want, otherwise the portability takes a hit as I won’t be able to turn the Vita fully off to conserve battery charge.

    • On PS3 it was on a menu anytime on the “world map” and at certain areas in dungeons if I remember rightly. Same as most RPGs. I know it’s based on the old school grinding RPGs but I didn’t find the grinding particularly painful really. Definitely one of my favourite games last year

  4. Held off from the PS3 version for this very reason. Now I’m glad I did.

  5. I’d never heard of it until now & I’m glad I did as it looks not too bad.

  6. Is it going to be released as an boxed version on digital download only ?

    • The PS3 version was a PSN title so I guess it’ll be the same for the Vita.

      • Crap, I hate downloadable games. Thanks.

  7. Brilliant game, catchy tunes the only downside imo was that you had to beat the main bad guy about 10 times during the game.Once a guy is dead he should stay dead.

  8. The name sounds like some MLP character…
