As far as I can tell the PSN is offline for unscheduled maintenance, which has rather scuppered my plans for some late night PS Vita Need For Speed: Most Wanted.
The rather handy isthepsndown.com informs me “Yes. Based on recent reports, the PSN seems to be down for all mankind,” and Twitter is full of the usual helpful comments.
“#psn down, Sony you suck right now!!!” says Shaun whilst Martin asks “Am I the only one having problems with #PSN right now? Can’t log into #FIFA online or the #playstationstore? Upgrade going on?”
The official channels have yet to comment on the outage.

Oh no! or I should say Deja vu. Was it in 2009, that PSN had trouble handling the leap year date conversion (even though leap year was 2008)? Are we seeing a repeat on that event?
