As we hinted at in our hands-on earlier in the week, PlayStation Vita exclusive Soul Sacrifice will be available – in playable demo form – for everyone next week.
In fact, our hands-on was based entirely on the very same demo – it’s a big one, with plenty to do, and your progress in it will be carried over to the game proper when it releases.
The demo will be released on the 17th of April (as part of next Wednesday’s PSN Store Update, in fact) and contains around four hours of gameplay, although you can probably get a bit more than that out of it if you take your time with the levels on offer.
It also features multiplayer, something we couldn’t test for our preview.

Yeeeh booy!

I’m not too excited about the game (only cos the genre doesn’t really appeal to me), but it would be good to try the demo. Nice.

Will be downloading the demo for sure

Super!

Demo is a must for me. Really hoping that this is the game for me.

Awesome. Been looking forward this for a while now.

Is there any news on the new Vita model (the one with video out)?
I want one right now, but it feels potentially poorly timed.
Tuffcub
Nothing official. I would guess at a reveal alongside the PS4 at E3.

Video out model is a dev kit, they’ve been around since before launch.

Yay! The option to carry over your progress to the main game is very nice. But the demo will certainly be “Not available in Germany” again, and on the Vita I can’t just download it from the UK store :(
hazelam
you could if you had a spare, proprietary, only sold by sony, at an inflated price, memory card. ^_^

I like the game save thing. I’m guessing the demo starts off right at the beginning then? I’m just not sold on the game. Nothing I’ve seen or read about it really speaks to me.
Alex C
Yep, right at the beginning. It’s a really good demo.

Cool. Been looking forward to getting my grubby mitts on this game, so the demo will be downloaded the second that it’s available. Hope it’s as good as I think it’s gonna be. (The game, not the demo)
