Q.U.B.E. is a first person puzzle game. It’s got a sterile, Portal-esque style to it but the mechanics are very different. You can manipulate the environment to create a path to escape using coloured blocks that appear in the walls and floor.
It’s working on the Wii U, as the creator tweeted last night. But in response to a fan’s question about a Vita version, he replied positively with “quite possibly”.
I’m certainly no game developer but given the number of indies that are flocking to the PlayStation Vita recently, I assume it’s relatively easy to develop for and port to. If there’s a Wii U version of Q.U.B.E. already on the way then hopefully there’s some value in bringing it to Sony’s handheld too.
Both devices, with their touch-screens, seem like they offer up interesting control possibilities.

Cool! I’d certainly consider getting it for the Vita.

This, somewhat promising text, just showed up in a Google search of Q.U.B.E..

“We have just uploaded a small update for Q.U.B.E. on OSX to prevent random crashes in some instances. Who wants some awesome QUBE merch? We’re throwing in a free version of QUBE Touch for iOS (TBA) and QUBE Director’s Cut (TBA) on PS3 in the bundle!”
A Vita version would be nice too of course but hey – Q.U.B.E. Directors Cut for PS3! :)

Remincent of both mirrors edge, and the first persons sections of AC Revelations, stylistically at least.
