Don’t believe the propoganda and the regular videos of scientific bliss from the International Space Station. If sci-fi has taught us anything, the life of an astronaut is filled with peril, bizarre experiments, dimensional tears and horrific and harrowing experiences. Just such an adventure awaits you in Q.U.B.E Director’s Cut (which stands for ‘Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion’).
Originally released on PC back in 2011,  the Director’s Cut brings the game to console, with PS3 and PS4 launches on the 21st and 22nd of July, depending on your region, and on Xbox One on 24th July. A Wii U version will follow in August, but the price across all platforms will be the same $9.99/€9.99 – and we’ll have to assume the usual exchange rate to GBP is in place.
Q.U.B.E. sees you awake in a mysterious spaceship, pitting you against puzzles comprised of blocks which bend and defy the laws of physics. The Director’s Cut adds a new Against The Qlock mode, which pits you, well, against the clock as you try and race through ten new levels.
Beyond this, a sequel was also announced almost a year ago. Though very little is known about it yet, it has been confirmed for PlayStation 4, and will even feature support for Project Morpheus.
