Sadly for those looking for this direct sequel, they’ll have to wait a little while longer, as the Plants vs. Zombies twitter account announced on Wednesday that Plants vs. Zombies 2: it’s About Time would be missing its planned launch date of the 17th of July. No solid date was stated, with just a vague “Summer 2013” window left in its place for the launch of this temporary iOS exclusive.

Still, you’ve got to give them credit, the PopCap guys and gals are clearly working their socks off to deliver you addictive games from every angle. Peggle 2 was announced at E3 alongside the reveal of their first real foray into 3D gaming with Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

  1. What a wonderful trailer, I want one of those pea-shooters!!

  2. I want my sequel you whores! Ooo… seriously, PvZ was superb. Just utterly wonderful in every way. So, a sequel would be most pleasing along with that new 3D-fangled Garden Warfare version when they bring that out. Garden Warfare had so much fun and promise in the trailer and game-play, I nearly wee’d myself! :-)

    • I concur – what a wonderful take on a FPS that would be, a welcome change!
