The Last Of Us DLC To Be Unveiled Later This Week

More info regarding the upcoming DLC for Naughty Dog’s PlayStation 3 epic, The Last Of Us, is to be announced soon, it’s been revealed.

Bruce Straley, the game’s director, has just tweeted out confirmation, and it looks increasingly likely we’ll see a more story driven approach to the content, rather than a multiplayer map pack or other aspect, such as ‘Interrogation’, when the info drops later this week. Creative Director Neil Druckmann hinted at this during a recent Reddit AMA when he said the team were “Currently working on single-player DLC”.

 

The announcement comes only a couple of weeks after Naughty Dog posted a new developer diary to YouTube, leading us here at TSA to speculate as to whether forthcoming DLC was the reasoning behind that particular video’s late arrival.

With the game’s Season Pass promising at least 2 further DLC releases on the horizon, are you looking forward to more The Last Of Us?

  1. Ooh yes please. I want an episode with Bill, that would be great. Like leading up to the “separation” you discover in the house at the end of the level.
    Or Ellie when she got bit, that would be cool. Sneaking out the school and all that.

    • No spoilers for people here then.

      • At this stage anybody who really wanted to play the game should have already. And if they haven’t played the game why would they be interested in DLC for it?

        Add to that:
        1 – My first part is vague enough that anybody who hasn’t played it won’t be able to predict anything on that anyway
        2 – My second part is general knowledge that was available before the game even launched

  2. It’s only one single player DLC pack and two multiplayer packs, isn’t?

    I can’t wait to play it as I could really do with more of The Last Of Us.

    • I thought it was 2 single player packs and one multiplayer?

      • Naughty Dog said it was just 1 SP and 2 MP when they announced it.

      • Fixed.

  3. Is there really 2 single player DLCs included in season pass? Thought it was a total of 3, 1 with SP and 2 with MP.

    • Gamestop tried to sell me a season pass telling me that there was going to be two sp dlc packs.
      Anyway, after my first playthrough i decided to put the game aside for at least six months before i play it again but if the dlc offers 4 or 5 hours of a new scenario i’ll be tempted.

  4. Oh, there’s a season pass? The game keeps telling me there’s no DLC available. Really hoping for a multiplayer mode involving the infected.

  5. Really looking forward to this. I hope we get more flashbacks during the first days of the outbreak. The opening chapter of TLoU was probably my favourite bit of the whole game.
