Win Unique Lone Survivor Prizes

We’ve got a great competition for you here! The developers that helped to bring Jasper Byrne’s Lone Survivor to PlayStation 3 and Vita, Curve Studios (who you should follow on twitter, to keep tabs on their next project), have very kindly given us the opportunity to run a competition for some great prizes.

First off, if you’re not familiar with Lone Survivor you might want to check out Gamoc’s review, where he gave the game an 8/10. It’s a survival horror game that advises that you play in the dark with headphones with Gamoc finding it thoroughly unnerving and incredibly tense. There’s also a lovely launch trailer here with some very eerie music at the start!

The competition is very simple, we want to know what you would do if you were the last man or woman on Earth. You can write this in the comments section below and also enter via Twitter by tweeting @thesixthaxis with your answer and the hashtag #TSALoneSurvivor. You must use that hastag for us to be able to see your entry!

We’ll then pick out all of our favourite answers, and from that collection hold a randomised prize draw.

So what are the prizes? Well, one person will win:

  • A Lone Survivor physical ‘edition’, which includes a PSN code for the game and the Director’s Cut full soundtrack on a faux-PS2 disc.
  • A Signed print of Lone Survivor – 200 of these were made for the PC launch and now there’s only 5 left!
  • A Sleepy Cat Plush, the first official Lone Survivor soft toy – this isn’t in production anywhere else and only 6 of these are being given away ever.

As runners up prizes, there’s also 5 more PSN codes for the game. These codes are available to any region.

There’s some great prizes available in this competition and it’s also open to anywhere that accepts international shipping from the UK. The competition will close for entry on October 20th at 17:00 BST, and the winners will be announced on the 21st. Good luck to everyone who enters!

Follow this link to see the Terms and Conditions, and, funnily enough, you can also try and enter another competition over at Curve Studios themselves for another shot at winning that plushy Sleepy Cat.

  1. Clearly I would have to start feverishly collecting bottle caps, I will still be able to use these, right guys?

  2. Start writing journals and hope somebody would read it. Just in case i was just being delusional all those time.

  3. Find the biggest tv possible and a huge quantity of alcohol and watch lots of films in a drunken haze. Then platinum all the games i can get my hands on, take a picture of my ridiculous trophy level and create a time capsule as proof to my lifes work.

  4. First off I would check out the best ‘car factory’ in the world, the McLaren Technology Centre, and drive as many of their road and the race cars I could get started. Then visit the other F1 teams, especially the ones around Silverstone. I would care what I did after that as I would be very happy……..or somewhere in a pile of carbon fibre and titanium Dead!

  5. I’d head straight to Leeds Armoury to pick myself up a Shaolin Spade, just in case…

  6. I would attempt to single handedly repopulate the earth. Failing that, I’d do a Peter Griffin and go in search of a Twinky factory, just to see what one tastes like, and possibly run into Randy Newman playing piano by an apple tree.

  7. I would free all the animals in all of the zoos and become their king. I would then travel around the Earth becoming supreme ruler of all life, and I would uppercut a bear. (Basically, I wouldn’t cope very well)

  8. After i’d completed the walking dead, lone survivor, L4D, L4D2, Deadrising 1,2,3, fallout 3, (all for the purposes of Irony of course)

I’d build a 200 foot cock and balls (minecraft esc) and wait for death, safe in the knowledge that any alien species who may discover us in years to come will correctly think our entire race were a bunch of immature douche bags!

  9. I would sleep in a different room every night at the five-star Hilton in the city centre. During the day I would take a leisurely stroll in my expensive clothes from House of Fraser or from TK Maxx for the out of season ranges. For those rainy days though I would drive around in a Porsche from the local dealer. I’d perfect my espressos in the nearest empty Starbucks while enjoying a book from WH Smith and work my way through the food isles at M&S every dinnertime. To top it all off, I’d also finally have the chance to get through my PSN game backlog on a 60″ screen in the nearest Sony Centre.

  10. I would first start to look for survival skills and tactics before electricity shuts down, and gather as much water as I could. Then I would probably make my way to the nearest shopping centre and just do whatever I want there. Maybe try on every single piece of clothing and cart-surf through the whole building. Gather all the materials I could ever want to make anything I wanted to like a new costume. Then do some serious photography. I would start looking for any survivors after I have my share of fun, then learn how to drive myself so I can get to places that are further away.
