Sony have announced that the upcoming 1.30 update for May’s Soul Sacrifice will be the last. The update, which should be available tomorrow alongside the new Store content, adds sixteen “challenging” quests at difficulty level 10, featuring bosses from elsewhere in the game, and brings to a close five months of post-launch content for the title.
However, there’s no mention of the Toukiden and Phantasy Star cross-over content that Japanese owners of the game received last month – a western release is seemingly unlikely given the cross-promotional nature of the packs, and the fact that neither title has yet released in the US or Europe.
At Sony’s September 9th pre-Tokyo Game Show event, it was announced that Soul Sacrifice would be getting a pseudo-sequel/expansion titled Soul Sacrifice Delta, adding new bosses and a new faction to the game. Delta is due early next year in Japan, but a western release has yet to be detailed by Sony.

I loved this game but never finished it. Will have to get back into it!

This is one of those that I definitely want to pick up. Unfortunately I’ve got the mammoth Persona 4 and plenty of ps+ games I need to play first.

Look forward to jumping back in to the multiplayer today and starting new quests with others (despite platinum-ing the game). It’s been brilliant how they’ve supported the game and I do hope delta comes to the EU PSN

I wonder if Delta will have or be compatible with the DLC, as I’m probably going to wait for that as I haven’t bought the game yet anyway.

This game has been one of the most well supported I’ve seen in a while. Fantastic to get so much content for free.
