Sure, the game itself may still be a month away, but that hasn’t stopped Ubisoft from releasing the first details of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag’s post-launch DLC over on the PlayStation Blog.
The biggest chunk of DLC takes the form of a new three-hour single-player story titled Freedom Cry. The “downloadable episode” will focus on the Jackdaw’s deck officer Adewale, telling the slavery-centric story of his ending up on Edward Kenway’s crew, as well as following him after the events of Black Flag, as he attempts to build up the resistance in Haiti.[videoyoutube]Ubisoft have also announced Black Flag’s all-but-inevitable season pass, offering new multiplayer characters, new single-player missions, various weapons and costumes, alongside the Freedom Cry pack. There’s also a new trailer for the exclusive content in the PS3 and PS4 versions of Black Flag, which we’ve kindly embedded just to the side there, because we’re nice like that.
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is due in a couple of weeks on November 1st on PS3 and Xbox 360, with the PS4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC versions launching on November 22nd.
