PlayStation 4 User Interface Spotted In Video

A rather blurry video has surfaced with glimpses of the PlayStation 4 user interface.

It’s in French but you can see the web browser in action, Facebook connectivity, options screens and how the interface will work. It looks a similar to the PS3’s XMB but with less clutter.

Hopefully Sony will release an official video before the console launches.

  1. It has more in common with the XMB than I’d realised, which is quite a pleasant surprise.

  2. Looks very tidy & minimal. Hopefully they don’t lock lovefilm, iplayer & singstar icons to it.

    • It would be great if you could ‘hide’ unwanted icons.

      • Indeed it would. I got really fed up of seeing those singstar people everytime I switched on the ps3.

  3. Definitely looks a similar!
    ;)

  4. looks almost the same.

  5. I’m glad they are not ditching the minimalistic baseline of the XMB. I love the PS3 OS despite it’s flaws.

  6. So apparently this is nothing like the release UI will appear, sadly: http://kotaku.com/over-15-minutes-of-the-ps4-dashboard-menus-menus-men-1446151140

  7. The video’s been made private.

    • Ah oui. Merde! Je would ‘av liked to ‘av a luke.

Alternate link, only one i could find for those who have not seen it.

  9. Did I see a singstar icon at 2:17?

  10. Looks responsive and clean, which is what I look to in a ui.
