It’s Halloween, at least it is as I write this, and that is all the excuse I need to play Plants Vs Zombies 2. It’s got nothing to do with it being awesome, free to play and recently released on Android. No sir, nothing to do with those points, it’s purely a mood-setter on this most spooky of nights.
Speaking of ghostly echoes of the past… it’s Dan! The original no less! And after months of not featuring in WWP neglecting his Wii U he’s wiped the dust off his Gamepad and fired up a couple of games. Mighty Switch Force 2 “entertained” despite being “very similar to the first” while the Luigi add-on for New Super Mario Bros. turned out to be “a lot harder” than expected largely due to the “limited time for each level”.
A lot of sequels so far and here’s another, DanToo, who amongst his studying has been taking advantage of his house mates. No, not like that. It’s all about the split-screen gaming, with Buzz, Uno and LittleBigPlanet Karting all proving “great fun, if a little too competitive”. He’s also dabbled in a little Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Skyrim and Alice: The Madness Returns, with a little 2DS-powered Pokémon X on the side.
Tuffcub seems to be finally suffering the Karmic payback for his Hawaiian holiday:
I have been playing a new game called “Being Very Ill”. It’s a shit game but is very infectious and now it’s on day six, seems to have longevity. The graphics are quite blurry and the sound is almost non existant, I can hardly hear anything.
There don’t seem to be any positive points to this game, I’ve had to come to work every day even though I’m still playing and that has not been nice at all. I have purchased the “Beechams Flu Plus DLC” which has made things slightly more fun, but as it only lasted a few hours I can’t really recommened it. 1/10.
He’s been so ill even Killzone 3 hasn’t featured! Dom has been playing plenty of Pokémon Y (still no word if he’s battling DanToo) which is says in his best Wallace accent “is absolutely cracking”. “The world and and the creatures really live up to your expectations now, and whilst its structure is a bit familiar it’s done incredibly well.”
Bataranging his way through Batman: Arkham Origins for our review took its toll on Stefan last weekend but ever the glutton for punishment, if you can call getting to play games early punishment, he’s got Battlefield 4 lined up for this weekend. Jealous? I know I am of anyone with that much gaming time at weekends!
Last up this week is Aran who has just finished GTA V‘s “entertaining” story and is steeling himself to go for 100% completion over the coming weeks and months. His next project is Remember Me which he says has combat that feels a lot like Batman’s Arkham adventures but with the added extra of “custom-made combos”. He says he’s stuck fighting invisible enemies at the moment (how does he know?) but will persevere.
How does your own gaming landscape look this week?

I’m still firmly entrenched in my backlog.
I tidied up the remaining trophies on Hunted: The Demon’s Forge last weekend for platinum number 95.
Now I’m working on Rayman Origins on Vita, just need to collect the relics that I missed and a few of the hidden cages and I’ll have yet another platinum to add to my collection.
I also picked up Proteus, which is very odd but also relaxing.

Update – Rayman Origins Vita completed, platinum number 96 acquired.

Been on a Lego flex all week. Batman 2 and Lord of da Ringz. Completed both stories once, now to go through and get all the collectable shiz. Long ting.

Just started playing remember me, it’s a cute game but controls are awful especially the combat system.
Also some KZM

After playing nothing but gtav since its release, it’s nice to get back to Skyrim. (When I can find a couple of hours spare, impossible to play it in short doses as it’s too engrossing)

Been playing remember me this week. Slowly getting to grips with the combat but loving the setting. Story is ok. Not great. All about the atmosphere for me.

I finished Metal Gear Solid 4 for the eighth time and bagged myself the platinum! What a ride. I think the PS3 deserves the weekend off.

Nothing really this week at all. Played a couple of games of BLOPS2 and am hoping to reach my 10000 kills this weekend before boxing up my 360, 3DS and Wii and trading them in to finish paying off my Xbox One. Then the wait begins >:D

I’m still trying to finish some PS+ games I started months ago. When I’m not doing that it’s GTA V.

It’s been GTA V (I keep getting quickly bored unfortunately so I take forever to finish the story), Wind Waker HD (gorgeous) and Metroid Prime (first time playthrough, trilogy version) for me.
Oh and I too picked up Very Ill, think I earned an achievement for a night long puke-streak.

This week for me was all covered by Transformers War for Cybertron. The game is very entertaining and defintly underrated. The story campaign is good, with some memorable moments and multiplayer (despite its bugs and glitches) is fun. I dont know if it is becose I always liked the Transformers universe, but I really enjoyed it. 100 times better than all M.Bays movies.
Yesterday I started the sequel Tranformers Fall of Cybertron and from what I played, both single and multi are BETTER ! ^_^
