Over the weekend DICE firmed via Battlelog forums that Battlefield 4 was experiencing DDOS attacks which are affecting the multiplayer and stats on the PC version of the game.

The PS4 version of Battlefield 4 is also having troubles but not from DDOS attacks. “We are deploying a new server to the PlayStation4 platform,” DICE said. “You might be disconnected from your session as servers are restarting to apply the new patch. The server update addresses a very severe crash issue on the PS4.”
Meanwhile the Xbox 360 version Call of Duty Ghosts seems to be having major problems with hacked lobbies, Xbox gamers have been found selling modded lobbies with free XP, or in the example below a “free” lobby with a large hint to “donate”.
It has also been noted that the top 5,000 players on the Xbox 360 version always get scores of over 20,000 xp, another sign that they are using hacked games.
There have also been numerous reports of people exploiting a glitch that lets players dive underneath the map and kill from below.

Yes not good at all. BF4 seems nearly unplayable with all the corrupt error messages for save files going on, and lack of conquest on big maps.
I know it will have teething problems at first, but come on, this needs sorting asap. Killzone got it right.

I honestly wish these kind of dicks would just fuck off. Why pay £40 for a game that you cheat at, or allows others to cheat. The whole enjoyment and satisfaction of playing these kind of competitive games is that you try to win, and win fairly without some ridiculous advantage. I’d much rather these people got bricked consoles than the one’s who have had their console or game delivered early.

Why don’t the devs offer an in-game reward or something for discovering a glitch. It would improve their game and more people would play it if it was glitch-free.

It just spoils the game when people exploit glitches and cheats and proves how worthless their lives are if they require a scoreboard to give their life meaning. I’m not a great BF or COD player (I’m average or like to think I am) but when I do have a good game it makes it more worthwhile because I earned it

This was the reason I gave up on the 1st CODMW, idiots cheating or flying around whilst being indestructable. Shame really, as it’s the best game I’ve played online.

What gets me is how does someone manage to have such a grudge against a game that they go DDOSing its servers? Fortunately not had any problems on 360.
As for Ghosts, every CoD game gets hacked and acti/treyarch/iw/MS all pass the blame around and don’t bother to fix it.

As Starman says – EVERY YEAR COD gets hacked. The leaderboards are always hacked yet the hacked scores stay there. Both MS and Activision should have a team ready and as soon as somebody puts a hacked score Activision should take down that score and ban them from the game and MS should look up the Gamertag and ban it from Xbox Live.
I blame Activision more because I actually reported some of the GT’s that had hacked scores and got an email from MS saying they had taken some action on it. If Activision gave MS the GT’s then I’m sure more people would be banned. Unfortunately I suspect Acti don’t want to do this as they’d be scared of losing people who could buy DLC.

Well then I for one will not buy Call of Duty Ghost, but will get Battlefield for PS4 just hope they will sort out these problems. All leaderboards on all games are a joke! Call of Duty Ghost will not get my £50 as I do not want to pay that just to get disadvantage multiplayer. I agree with what Youles have said.

I have played call of duty quite a bit over the last 2 weeks and not had this happen to me or anyone in the party I was with but it’s such a shame people go to these lengths to cheat and spoil the game for other players I hope anyone who does this gets there accounts banned for life!

Didn’t realise that DDOS is illegal under the law in the UK and can be met with upto 10 years in prison however it is still with the US California Courts and Anonymous have asked for it to be considered as a form of protest.
