PS4 Digital Games Now Available Through UK Web Store

Just a quick heads up: you can go over here to start pre-purchasing your PS4 games on the web ahead of the launch on Friday. You’ll be able to get everything from Killzone to Just Dance, so head on over and check them out.

If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, don’t forget to add Resogun and Contrast to your download list, even if you aren’t getting a PS4 at launch, just so you’ll have them for free when you finally do get your system.

We’ve updated our original list of sizes and prices, as EA titles are now cheaper and there are some extra PS Plus discounts for Super Motherload and Trine 2. You can see that below to save you a click.

  1. I just bought my upgrade titles COD:GHOST’S,BATTLE FIELD 4,ASSASSINS CREED Black Flag which came with loads of free DLC.

    I cannot wait until Friday

  2. I’m sure I’d read on the ps blog you’d only be able to get ps4 plus games through a ps4 and not through the web store.

    • PS4 and web store. Just not the PS3 store.

    • Correct, someone on the PS Eu Blog did comment that. However a later blog post indicated that you’d be able to make PS4 purchases via the web store. The original comment (from Chris Howe I think) got it wrong.

    Battle field 4 = 6.2 GB
    COD GHOSTS = 12.8 GB

    • Ah knew someone would fall into this trap, your broadband lack essential ‘balance’. For example my 300kb/s internet will take longer granted, but this will enable me to spend more time with my friends and family unlocking a limitless range of further experiences you simply don’t get on your so called ‘fibre’.

      • for a minute i though i was going to learn something i didnt no about fibre broadband, but instead I laugh then I felt sorry for you my friend :(. Virgin 60MG broadband amazing.

      • That’s very similar to what I say about my upload speed: Would you care about anything I gave you if it was instantly available?
        I didn’t think so.

  6. Pay more for digital with no resale value or buy a physical copy of the game for less. I’m really going to struggle with this one.

    • And with some of those file sizes it’s not even convenient! I could get the bus into town and back before downloading 12GB

  7. Does anyone know how long Resogun will be free on Plus? I won’t get my PS4 until Christmas morning and then I’ll use the included trial…just not sure it will still be available on Plus by then.

    • A month I guess. But just go to the web store now and “buy” it. Once you done that can download it anytime, ever after it leaves Plus.

    • Just a heads up, if you’ve ever had Ps plus before then you’re not eligible for the trial.

  8. Just Resogun for now as i intend playing that first. It’s very handy being able to use the web browser to queue stuff up but i don’t fancy powering on my PS4 for the first time and have it start downloading loads of stuff straight away,background downloading notwithstanding. I want to ‘appraise’ my new toy without other stuff going on in the background. :)

    • And now i see what ‘tv apps’ we’re getting in Ireland … IGN… and that appears to be it. :/

  9. Ah bloody hell. Resogun despite saying was free (my PS+ is good to Dec 14) had just cost me full price. Contrast on the other hand went through fine.

    That aside I was using my mobile to access the store and ‘buy’ the games. Feels so very much next gen.

    • Ugh. At least it’s worth it… though you could probably contact support.

      • Very worth it to last time I played this game I broke the PS4 it paying on (or whatever was really powering it).

        Does prove there is no issue with using my Z1 to buy and download games. there was even a nice big download to PS4 button (that wasn’t pressable due to no PS4 being registered to my account).

        Going to make getting my PS+ games onto my PS4 easy as hell!

    • Did the same with me, just caught it in time. Looks like Resogun has a bug on the Store.

    • It tried to charge me for Resogun too but i went back to the basket and removed it. I was able to grab the free IGN app but was unable to set it to download automatically as it seems i need to have a PS4 registered to my account first.

  10. I’m not getting this my 12 month subs has run out today but I’ve got opportunity to get 3 months for £3 is it the full our that crap 30 second trial stuff which I’ll use once forget about?

    • Also I was on about Music Unlimited.
