The Killzone Shadow Fall team have been listening to players and have revealed that a number tweaks and improvements are being considered.
In-game voice chat is currently being worked on, to be honest I thought I had a dodgy PS4 headset when I was playing the game as I could not hear anyone shouting obscenities in my direction, but at the moment you can only chat to those in your party. As most of time you are playing with strangers, there is no chatter.
“While the game was setup to allow users to speak with the parties they created and people they trust, you have indicated this does make teamwork among strangers more difficult,” explained Bart Suichies.
“As team based gameplay is our main focus, we are currently working on this feature as a top priority. We are targeting the December update to have this functionality. It will automatically enable you to talk to your faction and will allow you to mute players (to retain that classic Killzone Shadow Fall feel).”
Killzone 2 style proximity chat may be considered once the work on in-game chat is completed.
Perhaps the biggest news for fans, and something I myself have been requesting, is the re-introduction of a ranking system. Challenges are good but with 1,500 of them it’s very hard to get any sense of progress as you chip away at each one. Guerrilla have noted this and is hard at work designing a ranking system that “celebrates this challenge progress” and assigns players with rank names and accompanying icons.
Also coming early next year is a clan system, a tweak to make ammo supply boxes more obvious, a sniper friendly map and a way to identify party members.
The team are also investigating an in-game party system, splitting the scorecard in to teams as it was in Killzone 2 and 3, hip firing and those ridiculously overpowered air drones.
Sadly there seems to no plans to re-voice the Helghast back to the East London gangsters they were in Killzone Mercenary, rather than the generic grunts they are now.

Sounds great, loving the MP so far. Ranking system will be much welcomed.

Sniper maps!? eewwwww!!!
Apart from that it sounds good!

Needs them, playing as sniper is useless now you can’t cloak AND snipe.

Its my first real killzone experience and im loving online. Currently at around 360 challenges complete. But i most definitely want to see some ranking system. Also I want to be able to see how many deaths I have at the end of a game. I thought that would be a given on an FPS. Hmm.

Think I may get this for Crimbo.

I’m trying KZ for the first time and I’m enjoying it, although I don’t think I’m up for MP at the moment. I would be more of a hindrance than a help to team mates.

I will join a clan if any going, not really a big fan of this Killzone,

If I’m honest I’m not that impressed with the multiplayer or single player sure it looks good but there were no moments that really blew me away I think this may be the first game I sell and looking online on the cex website a lot of other people have done the same
Broonba
I’ve not tried the multiplayer yet and after reading this may wait a while before trying it out.

Really miss the saboteur class,in fact i really miss what they had with kz2.Ok it wasn’t mainstream but to me the mp here just feels flat.

Haven’t tried multiplayer yet, but it sounds pretty cool, Ill have to give it go once I finish SP. I loved the KZ2 MP, but didnt really gel with the KZ3 one.

I have killzone as a part of my ps4 bundle I played it but it doesn’t wow me like I thought. Think I’m going to sell it.. The graphics are top notch tho but the gameplay is so-so at best
