Tomb Raider Definitive Edition Ad Points To PS4 & Xbox One Release

The VGX are tonight and we’ll be bringing you all the news and announcements as they happen. One such announcement is the confirmation of what platforms Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, with Square Enix already acknowledging the game’s existence. Now an advert has appeared on the net apparently answering that question, along with a release date.

So it looks like Lara Croft will be reliving her adventure on the Xbox One and the PS4, and I’d be surprised if there aren’t PS3 and Xbox 360 editions too. The ad from which that screenshot came also teases a trailer, though we’re likely to have to wait until it airs on VGX before it goes live.

  1. I think that will be good timing for me before I get to bored of Ps4 games. It looked good on Ps3, even though I never played due to backlog, So it should look amazing on Ps4.

  2. Out of all the games that could have been updated for PS4 and Xbox one, they chose this buggy clichéd mess? The characters were bland, the story was poor, the baddies all looked the same, and no matter how cold Lara said she was, she refused to take a coat from any of the million people she killed, this gave us a great view of her ‘assets’, which I’m sure wasn’t at all the intention…

Im certainly not going to buy this. Wish I could have returned it but I got it in a digital sale.

    • This is the first negative review I’ve seen of the game. Everyone else loves it! To each their own and all that!

      • I guess. Honestly though, I wouldn’t get it if I were you, there’s loads of better looking games coming out next year in my opinion.

The best bit about TR is Lara’s character model, and considering all the cosplays there are, you could do a quick Google search and save yourself 40 quid… :p

    • I would be up for this but I have heard that it doesn’t contain a whole lot of the “tomb raiding”?

  3. Never played it on ps3 but always kinda wanted to. Will definitely look at getting the ps4 version now.

  4. Definitive edition – excluding shitty tacked-on multiplayer please

  5. I enjoyed it on PS3 but as soon as i completed it i didn’t feel like i would ever want to play it again, maybe in a few years time i’ll feel differently about it. I’m still looking forward to the next game in the series but i guess that won’t be until 2015 at least.
