Alien could be considered one of the best films of all time, creating a classic monster with the Xenomorph, a creature that was an intelligent and deadly hunter. However the jump to games hasn’t yet quite managed to capture that same dread the film inspired, but it is something the team at Creative Assembly are hoping to achieve with Alien Isolation.
The developers want to recreate that dread considering Isolation takes place almost directly after the first Alien movie, and now new screens have been released which show more of the game environment, and the title character.
The shots look great with the one focused on the computer terminal looking almost photo realistic. Hopefully these are actually indicative of the final game, and not following a repeat of what happened with Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Alien Isolation is scheduled to release on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC near the end of 2014.

The calender is clever – it’s Ripley in her skimpy pants :)
RudeAwakening
That Third pic is creepy as f***!
TheShepanator
This game looks really good, but I hope that all the encounters aren’t totally scripted as it would give it no replay value at all. There should be scripted events but they should be randomised on each playthrough

The first image is beautifully lit. It looks grainy and film like, which is an exciting visual direction.
And that Alien looks MASSIVE! I didn’t realise they were supposed to be that tall!
