Capcom has just confirmed Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD for PC, which is set to release on February 28th globally on disc and through Steam for the sum of €19.99/$19.99, while in the UK it will cost £14.99. The game originally had a HD release on PS3 and Xbox 360 two years ago.
The Ultimate HD edition will include all bonus content, and will run at 60FPS. The trailer does show the game looking very good, and it is just the visual upgrade with the core gameplay remaining untouched. If you pre-order through Steam you’ll get access to a digital artbook and a soundtrack containing 60 tracks.
There will also be global leaderboards and access to various Steam goods including trading cards, and achievements.

as a PC gamer primarily, I certainly wont be picking this up when it releases. Its HD yes but its literally just been up scaled in resolution, there’s no retexturing anywhere, no update in the visuals and like the one before it on PC, the controls are probably still horrendous. Cheap cash in by Capcom on the last good Resident Evil. If this is priced any higher than £14.99 they are utter scumbags.

It shows how badly Capcom have eff’d up the Resident Evil franchise when people are still clamouring for HD remakes of a 9-year old game…

Personally I’m going to wait for the Super Amazing Totally Ultimate Ultra HD Wow re-re-re-re-re-re-release on the PS5. I can’t wait.

I love resident evil 4 but this is nothing more than a cash in. Where are the hi-res textures ? just because its upscaled and runs at 60fps does not make this ultra HD.
really disappointed with how this looks.
