SOE All Access Plan Confirmed, Pay One Fee Play Seven PC Games

On April 2nd Sony Online Entertainment will roll out a new All Access Plan, for one monthly fee of $14.99 (with extra savings for 3, 6, and 12 month plans) you will get top tier access to EverQuest, EverQuest II, DC Universe Online PC, PlanetSide 2 PC, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes and the upcoming EverQuest Next and EQN Landmark games.

Sadly there is no news on a plan for console gamers, a single fee to play DC Universe Online and the forthcoming PlanetSide 2 on PlayStation 4 would be very welcome.

Benefits for other games such as Dragon’s Prophet are being finalised but a number of other games will be closing their doors. Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures and Free Realms (remember that?) will close on March 31st, whilst Vanguard and Wizardry Online will vanish in a puff of smoke on July 31st.

The original PlanetSide will also be moving to the free-to-play model but there will be no further updates to the game.

During a Reddit AMA Sony Online Entertainment boss, John Smedley, also hinted at a brand new game which is “dedicated” to Star wars Galaxies players.

Sony has also revealed the PC specs for the forthcoming EverQuest Next Landmark which will support Oculus Rift.

  1. If we purchase the SOE All Access Pass does that count as being a Planetside 2 premium member with all the benefits involved?

  2. Pretty sound idea but £10~ a month for all-access is still a little unappetising for someone who isn’t devoted to MMOs or PC gaming in general.

Still, I could see myself topping up every now and then to get a full suite of features for EQN, DCUO, and PlanetSide 2 for PS4.

  3. That is pretty cool, might be quite tempting if they do role it out for the PS4 as well.
