Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, the PS4 exclusive from The Chinese Room, is unlikely to see a release in 2014 according to the developer after posting a reply to a question on Twitter.
@MitchellDesmond Unrealistic, rather than unreasonable :)

The game itself is set during the Rapture and takes place in Shropshire, as the characters come to terms with the end of the world. It’ll be open world for players to explore, but each playthrough will have a time limit meaning you won’t get to see everything in one go so there’s plenty of the re-playability factor. Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture was first revealed in August at gamescom 2013.

Very much looking forward to this game and if they need more time, so be it. The premise is wonderful so finely crafting everything around it is oooookay with me! :-)

Super pumped for this, Dear Esther was certainly something different.
Also to be slightly picky, that last bit isn’t the case anymore. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/12/10/ps4-exclusive-everybodys-gone-to-the-rapture-removes-time-restr/

Reading the premise I instantly thought of Arthur Dent in his dressing gown and the Vogons turning up to destroy the planet. Looking at the video this probably has slightly less silliness and a few less towels.

Hmmm, Sony Santa Monica are helping with this game, I wonder if all the upheaval in moving to a new studio will cause a delay.
