The first screen from the PlayStation Vita version of Borderlands 2Â has emerged courtesy of GearNuke.
It doesn’t look half bad does it? Obviously not as nice as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, but not too shabby at all.
Quite how they got hold of the screen remains a little bit of a mystery, if there was a preview build I would have expected a raft of screens to have appeared not just a single shot, obviously they have friends in high places.
The game is scheduled for release this Spring and will come with six packs of DLC, four play co-op and cross save support with the PS3 version.
Update: The origins of the ‘screenshot’ have been revealed. “Someone cropped the high res pack shots from the US Vita Slim/Borderlands 2 bundle announcement” tweets the very helpful Andy Corrigan. I thought it was tad odd just one screenshot had been published!

Great to hear about the PS3 cross-save option. I’ll probably pick this up – I really found the first game boring but happy to give the sequel a go, particularly as there isn’t much else on my radar for Vita.

Although I would love this, I don’t think I’ll get it because Im rubbish at FPSs on the Vita due to the fiddly controls.

This screenshot has been provided to the public TWO WEEKS AGO in the official Playstation blog post about the bundle details…
And now all of a sudden every website comes across it, posts it as if it is fresh, and even says stuff like “How they got a hold of the screen remains a mystery” and “obviously they have friends in high places”… What a joke.

The vita is in good shape but it does make you wonder when the 2 games I’m most excited for are Borderlands 2 and FFX, neither being new titles.
