Rebellion has just updated its Sniper Elite Facebook page to announce the release date for the third entry to the series, with the game releasing on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on July 1st, while the PC version will get a slightly earlier digital release on June 27th. Pre-ordering the PC version will also net you 20% off the price.
The pre-order bonus for Sniper Elite 3 is called Hunt The Grey Wolf which, going by the image on the page, suggests you’ll be hunting Adolf Hitler. The game will also have environments that are around three times the size of those found in V2, new vehicle kill cams, a cooperative campaign as well as other co-op modes like Overwatch and Survival. The multiplayer will have five different game modes.

Looking forward to this, despite this wanky trailer. The maps should be pretty big by the sounds of things, as they weren’t small before. Hoping the desert locations doesn’t restrict the level design, as it was fantastic in the first game – very varied.

Sniper Elite 3 is only the 1st for US consoles. PC is worldwide on the 27th & the 27th is the UK/EU release date aswell.
