Race The Sun Flies On To PlayStation Consoles This Summer

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s Counterspy on PlayStation 4 yet another indie darling is to fly onto PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.

Race the Stun is inspired by arcade games of the past with a focus on high scores, short game sessions, and a sense of pure fun mingled with a nerve-wracking tension. The rules are simple, fly your solar powered craft towards the sunset and don’t crash!

The game will include procedural elements to create varied and interesting obstacles and maps.

“Aaron came up with an idea for generating the world out of a combination of hand-designed and procedural elements,” explained Flippfly co-founder Forest San Filippo. “The end result was that we were able to make complex combinations of obstacles in short order. This also meant that we could make the world rearrange itself each day – so you could never quite predict what would be coming.”

Good news for bargain hunters, the game will be Cross Save across all formats and will also be a Cross Buy purchase, buy it once, get all three versions.

  1. Looks interesting, reckon it’ll be a day one purchase

  2. My first reaction was “third-person endless runner?” but i’m liking the simple clean visuals and i can see potential for this being one of those games where you can get ‘in the zone’. Greyscale me interested.
