A couple of days back Ubisoft released a new trailer for Watch_Dogs entitled ‘Welcome To Chicago,’ and it looked quite impressive. At the time of release it wasn’t clear from which version of the game this footage had been captured from, but today the game’s creative director, Jonathan Morin, took to Twitter to clarify.
Just to clarify: Our “Welcome to Chicago” trailer is indeed PS4 Devkit footage. I know this was a popular question so there you go :).

There you have it then. Of course even though this footage was captured from the PS4 dev kit version of the game it will be interesting to see if the Watch_Dogs does live up to the footage above, because that looks quite impressive for a dynamic open world game. The lighting effects by themselves look fantastic as do some of the explosions, though there were a couple of points where some of the the text looked a bit out of focus, though that could just have been me.
Watch_Dogs will be releasing on May 27th for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

Looks impressive, but it’s no where near as good as what we saw at E3 all those years ago, although that could partly be down to Youtube’s quality.
Gareth Chadwick
That E3 demo was on a PC, not a PS4.

True, I forgot about that. Now I’m actually quite excited for the PC version!

Looks, Good. I can’t find the E3 footage that looks any better…..

I think the lightening effects look so much better here, like the reflections in puddles on the roads or the muzzle flashes. Obviously it’s hard to make a direct comparison as the video is only 720p, but I think it certainly looks a tad better.

I see quite a big difference between the Sept 2013 demo too, especially the lighting. Looks more dynamic in the earlier build:

fr some reason i find myself losing interest in this, will still get it though, hopefully I’ll see some more previews and get a bit more hyped closer to launch

Lets hope it plays as well as it looks, surely it has to doesn’t it?. This the game i have been looking forward to most.

People saying they’re losing interest, but I’ve kept at quite a distance from this game this since it was announced and this trailer has just told me I want to buy it. Looks brilliant.

This game is causing me headaches. I want it. I don’t want it. I want it. I don’t want it……
It’s a more than 50% chance.

I’m not sure this game is going to be as good as I hope it is. The story trailer didn’t impress with some very generic looking characters. Then Aiden looks awful compared to the facial animation that’s doing the next gen rounds. The game is starting to look more and more like a GTA-em-up.
Still something is keeping believing it can be as good as they first reveal…

Day one for my PS4. Hope it’s as good as I think it’ll be.

Looks like a GTA clone to me. Might not be a bad thing though. Sleeping Dogs was easily the best GTA game since Vice City for me. Will have to see if all the hacking is a game changer or just a gimmick.

I’m still keen to play this but knowing it, likely, won’t look as good as that first reveal is disappointing.
