Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor Will Be Releasing On October 7th

Warner Bros Interactive has just announced the release date for Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor as October 7th 2014, with the news coming via the trailer above. There’s also the announcement of some pre-order DLC called The Dark Ranger, and that grants a new character skin as well as the Test of Power Challenge mode. The trailer itself is called Banished From Death and shows  Talion on his quest for vengeance. The bit about his murdered wife and child reminded me of Gladiator.

There’s definitely some big expectations on the shoulders of Middle Earth: Shadow Of Mordor, especially since developers Monolith have said that enemies will remember the actions you have committed against them and will react accordingly. The game will be a single player only affair, and it will release on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

  1. This is one of the only games lines up for ps4 I’m genuinely looking forward to. It could be brilliant, some of the gameplay design elements they’ve announced sound great.
There’s always the distinct chance though it could end up a bit poo. Let’s hope it doesn’t, 6/10 will see me buy this. Not that I base buying decisions solely on numerical values of course.

  2. I cant wait for this. It looks awesome. Hopefully it lives upto the hype though.

  3. I loved the Lord of the Rings games for PS2. This looks pretty awesome. I just hope this game will highlight the landscape and environment of Middle-Earth. Only time will tell.
