New Trailer Shows The Evil Within The Walls Of This Horror Game

A trailer showing new game footage for The Evil Within has been released, and it really doesn’t hold back on showing that this game will be aiming to be incredibly scary and twisted. It’s full of gore as well as some weird happenings including giant arms grabbing at Sebastian, the main character, as well as a twisting blades chasing him down a hallway. There’s even what appears to be a bit of an homage to The Shining with the corridor of blood.

This trailer also confirms I’ll probably be too chicken to play it as it gives off similar vibes to Outlast, a game that has sat on my hard drive untouched for a while. However if you are the horror connoisseur then The Evil Within may definitely be the title to keep you’re eye on.

The Evil Within will be released on August 29th for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

  1. Looking forward to this. I’ve not really played a survival Horror game since Resi 4

  2. This isn’t a follow up to ‘Flower’ then?

    • What a twist that would be.

    • It does kind off look like the later levels of Flower…..

  3. I think I just witnessed every horror film that exists in under 2 minutes.

  4. This does look excellent, but so did outlast which I just find too tense to play through. Probably be the same with this.

  5. That looks proper tasty.

    Firmly on my wish list.

  6. Getting Resi 4 vibes watching this. Bit of Silent Hill and Outlast in there too. Looks great.

It’s the Resident Evil reboot we’ve been waiting for. Not that Michael Bay crapfest they’ve been churning out since RE4.

  7. This looks like a proper horror game, I hope the story does it justice.

  8. Bloody hell. I hope that’s not the PS4 graphics in the trailer. That looks terrible.

    • This.

    • Thats what I thought too. Worryingly, the details on one of the weird creatures for a split second looked too good to be last gen, but at the same time the rest of the scene looked awful which tells me this could be.

    • My thoughts exactly.

  9. Hate it when horror games/films think that the image of someone in a hooded cloak looking up at the camera is scary. Or any sort of enemy in a cloak for that matter. It’s tacky. It looks like there’s way too much going on in this, not to mention that it looks like a PS2 game. Horror is by far my favourite genre, but this really doesn’t do it for me. Was actually looking forward to seeing it, too.
