Sony has announced that the GT Academy 2014 is now open to entrants, and will be open to compete in until June 16th. This will be the sixth time the competition has been run since its inception in 2008, and allows for drivers from all over the world the chance to become a real life racer. The schedule of the opening qualification rounds is as follows.
- Round 1 – April 21st – June 16th
- Round 2 – May 5th – June 16th
- Round 3 – May 19th – June 16th
- Final Qualification – June 2nd – June 16th
Those who get past this qualification with some of the best times in the world will be invited to their respective Nationals, and from there those who succeed will compete in Racecamp at the Silverstone track. If you think you’ve got what it takes, or just want to compete for the thrill of it then the special events are now accessible within Gran Turismo 6.

I was as high as 252nd in the world with a 1:03.600. Been very close to beating it on multiple occasions but I just can’t get it all to come together again. Paddock Hill Bend is going to be the death of me!
