So a few days back the new Call Of Duty, Advanced Warfare, was revealed to the world with a trailer starring Kevin Spacey, who seems to be bringing his Frank Underwood persona from House Of Cards to this game. Advanced Warfare is about private military contractors (PMCs), and is set in the near future. We also know that Sledgehammer Games is the developer behind this title, at least on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A different, unnamed studio is handling the Xbox 360 and PS3 version, while a Wii U version isn’t even commented on which likely means Advanced Warfare won’t make it to Nintendo’s console.
This comes from the GameInformer article about Advanced Warfare where Activision spoke about splitting development.
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners don’t have to worry about Activision forgetting them, as Advanced Warfare will be brought to the last generation of consoles as well. Sledgehammer will not be handling the development, however. Activision has yet to announce the studio behind these versions of the game.”
Apparently the speculation is that High Moon Studios are working on the last gen version, but Raven Software is also a likely candidate considering previous work on the Call of Duty franchise, including the Ghosts multiplayer.

Makes sense after what I’ve heard about the new-gen versions of Ghosts. Is there any word on what engine they’ll be using? I’m seriously hoping it’s a completely new one.

I’m expecting it to be a further updated version of the one they’ve been using (heavily modified id tech 3), since Activision would surely market the crap out of any new engine.

True, but they could be saving it for E3 so they have something to take about other than fish AI!

I don’t see the newest devs being trusted with revealing the new flagship engine.
Infinity Ward or Treyarch will do that I think.

Might be the game to tempt some to new generation consoles.
