Ubisoft has announced that Valiant Hearts: The Great War will be launching on June 25th for the price of £11.99/$14.99, and will be coming to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. It’s another Ubisoft title being created in the Ubi Art engine, which has been used to create the latest Rayman titles and the fantastic Child of Light. The team behind Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil are currently developing the title.
Valiant Hearts is set during World War One and follows five characters from the various sides of the conflict, including a dog, as they try to survive and make it to the end. The story is inspired by real life letters written by those who took part in the war, with the developer’s own family histories having some influence on the plot. It looks like a really interesting title and with the way Ubisoft have managed to craft titles with Ubi Art I have some high hopes for this.

It’s great to see a game which treats war in a sensitive way like this, and i think the essence of the story will possibly ring true for some of the more recent conflicts around the world too.
