UK Charts 07/07/14: All Nazis Must Die As Sniper Elite 3 Holds The Top Spot

Sniper Elite 3 is at the top of the charts for a second week running whilst Watch Dogs continues to hold steady in second place. Both FIFA games have climbed the charts slightly as retailers have been discounting the last gen versions, presumably to ease the pain of the disastrous performance of England in the World Cup.

Last week was by far the busiest week for the PS Vita for quite some time with Ubisoft’s Child of Light landing at No1 on Vita Chart, Sony’s Ratchet & Clank Trilogy taking second place and PQube’s MotoGP 14 scraping its knees at number twelve. Sadly none of them have sold enough to make the top twenty.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark has plummeted to eighteenth place but might get a boost this week after people have sat through the bum numbing three hour movie and want more explosions.

Aliens: Colonial Marines Watch: I can report the game has dropped a single place to number 31 and is now outselling Thief and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.

  1. I’m still getting great mileage out of Watch Dogs, just finished chapter 2 last night.

  2. Sniper Elite 3 (on co-op) is proving to me enjoyable stuff but it depends on whether you’re two utter arses, throwing corpses around and basically causing absolute mayhem for each other. Eh, Tef? *looks for co-op partner*

“Come over here and watch me throw this corpse at the tree. It should glitch like hell!”, says Tef. He was right. :-)

  3. For those of you that have Sniper Elite 3, is it worth a pop at full whack or is it worth waiting for the price to drop a bit?

    • On the PC, it’s around £22 to £25 if you hunt around. I couldn’t justify the console price (on the PS4) that’s for sure. Then again, if you’re the sort of person who’ll sell it on after that you could easily dive in now knowing that you’ll only lose £5 to £10 if you gave the single player campaign a decent seeing to over the course of a week or two.

      • I was looking at PS4 and I’m not a massive fan of getting rid of my games. I agree with your point of the price not being justified so I think I’ll wait it out until there’s a reasonable drop in price. Thanks for the response btw!

      • My pleasure. :-)

For me, on the consoles, I can’t help but think this REALLY needs to be sub £30 to be justifiable.

        Obviously ignore that if you’re:

        …a) flush with cash
…b) going to sell it to someone on the likes of eBay afterwards
        …c) quite, quite mad
