Disney Infinity 2.0 Shows Off Its Advanced Toy Box

Disney Infinity 2.0 is set to touch down in little over a month with announcements coming in from all directions. So far we have seen a string of reveals including several iconic Disney and Marvel characters such as Spider-Man, Donald Duck, Stitch, and Nick Fury. Disney Interactive even went and announced a Guardians of the Galaxy playset, complete with five playable characters and its very own campaign mode.

We’ve also been hearing plenty about the game’s revised Toy Box mode. In our Disney Infinity review last year we loved the game, but found it hard to overlook the disconnect between its story content and that found within the Toy Box.

Though 2.0 won’t remedy the issue entirely, the sequel is serving up plenty of tweaks and updates, allowing players to easily build and share their own creations, whether that be explorable vistas, challenges, or mini-games.

Disney 2.0 is certainly shaping up. It will be interesting to see just how well it fares with lead rival, Skylanders, launching its latest instalment just weeks after.
