Bethesda has announced that The Evil Within has been brought forward for those in Europe, India, South Africa, and the Middle East. The new date is October 14th and brings the release date in line with that of the North American one, so the game will be launching on a Tuesday instead of the more regular Friday that those in the UK are generally used too. There’s no official reason as to why but it’s probably because Bethesda want the game to make a big a splash as possible in terms of worldwide sales.
However the change does not affect those in Australia, New Zealand or Japan, who will be getting it on the 16th, 17th, and 23rd of October respectively. If you’d like a bit of an impression of The Evil Within you can read Matt’s preview over here, where he stated that, “it’s obvious there’s some work to be done, but there’s a lot of promise too. The creepy atmosphere, the mixture of fighting and hiding, and a bit of puzzle solving all point to a winning formula.”
