It looks like Bloodborne is getting an Alpha and select PlayStation users are being sent invitations to take part in it. There doesn’t seem to be any criteria for receiving an invite so anyone with an account could be selected to take part, so check those emails. At first there were some concerns this was a fake invite but the official Twitter account has also posted the news.

This doesn’t mean the Alpha begins straight away but instead those who are invited will be required to fill in a form to express their interest, according to the message.

No idea why, but I got one at about 5pm this afternoon for my UK account, Middle European time. Quite liked what I’ve seen of the game so far, so I’m looking forward to it.

Got one too, suggesting that Alpha may be the new Beta which would be correct as Final Candidates have been the new Beta for a couple of years atleast :P

Too true. I’ve heard the games are so bloody difficult that more people have probably got an Xbone than have platinum’d a Souls game. ;)

No, that’s definitely not true, as I got an invitation, but no platinum in any of these three games.

I got an invite saying “your skill and recognition has been recognised” and I have platinums in dark souls and demon souls but from the above that doesn’t seem to be the criteria??
