Quite a few people are reporting terrible frame rates and lag in FIFA 15, especially those with BT Homehubs.

It appears that the UPnP option on routers is interfering with connections to the EA servers, so to correct the problem in the short term login to your router and untick the UPnP option. You may also have to do some additional funky stuff with the ports, but turning off UPnP seems to work for most gamers.
Hopefully EA will release a hotfix for the problem, they have already released a patch for a similar fault on Madden 15.

Rocket_345 tweeted earlier that he was still getting lag in the retail version which was a bit concerning to hear especially as I got lag every time I tried the demo.
A quick search suggested it was indeed still an issue but in doing so also found the above solution. I didn’t realise it was mostly BT related but am not surprised (I’m with BT)! Anyway, I’ve turned upnp off and it has resolved the problem without the need for any additional funky stuff, at least for the demo. I may go out and buy the game now.

This completely ruined FIFA Friday for me. After three games, I nearly had a migraine trying to watch the whole disjointed, jumpy mess. Hopefully this will fix things and the rest of the weekend will be lag-free. Thanks for the advice!

hi guys, sorry for sounding thick but i am experiencing the same issues yet have BT infinity fibre so shouldn’t! how do i change those settings on the hub?

it should be in the address bar put 192.168.1.254 to get to your hub,then put in your Admin Password which should be on the back of the hub on a piece of plastic,go to Advanced Settings then Firewall and there should be upnp disable it if you want to and apply then boot up Fifa ;) hopefully it’ll get sorted so you don’t have to faff about like this.

There’s a similar bug in DICE games too.
Every 19 minutes I get kicked from the Battlefield, once I’m kicked and I rejoin I don’t have any problems.
If I disable uPNP before I play I don’t have any issues.
This started in Battlefield 1943 and continues to this day, Battlefield and Medal of Honor are affected.

Happened to me a few times, even worse than in the video, and I’m with Vrigin’s superhub. Simple quit and restart of the game works every time though.
