Borderlands 2 & Pre-Sequel Coming To PS4 And Xbox One As A Bundle

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will bring the series to this generation of consoles for the first time in March. It’ll feature both the recently released Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2.

As a first, it’ll feature four player splitscreen, so you don’t need two consoles to get the full experience, although you’d need a rather large screen for this to be suitable. If you’ve played either of the games on PS3 or PS Vita it’ll have cross save too, allowing you to bring your character over.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a collection without a ridiculous amount of DLC packaged in, so this includes all of the content released for Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel to sweeten the deal by some margin (just look at that huge list on the PS Blog post). Even the upcoming season pass content for The Pre-Sequel will be made available as part of the package.

Furthermore, a collector’s edition – limited to 5,000 copies worldwide – comes with an RC Claptrap which can be controlled from a mobile device. That’s priced at €349, so expect to pay around £300 for the privilege. Christ. There’s no wording on how the game will be priced as standard for the UK but it’s going to be $59.99 in the US.

  1. Hooray!

  2. Kind of glad I didn’t buy the PS3 version of the Pre-Sequel now.

Now, who’s going to buy me that Claptrap-in-a-box edition? A variety of adult acts could be on offer. (Ok, I’ve got a man for those things already, but I think he rather selfishly expects them for free and not in exchange for robots)

Whatever $59.99 turns out to be in the UK, it’s a bit of a bargain, isn’t it? Especially if you’ve only got 1 of the games and didn’t get around to buying all the DLC for it anyway. Pre-sequel and then Borderlands 2 again as one of the other classes for me, I think.

    • Well I might buy it for you, oh but wait, I’ll just go and buy myself a PS4 instead, much more entertaining than a remote control Claptrap which would only hold my attention for 5 minutes.

On the price, usually $60 translates into £40 over here, then knock off a few more pounds and it’ll likely be around £35. Not bad for two games, but frankly I would have zero desire to re-play two such games over again.

Maybe if the game was something brand new…

    • I’ll buy it for you and even beat YOU off….a cliff with it, because the great sites don’t need you talking about adult acts with your man, your woman or you f***king dog for that matter ;-)

  3. Cross-save from Vita? SOLD!

Four player splitscreen is awesome, hats off for that.

  4. Similar to MrYd, I too am glad I didn’t let temptation make me buy the PS3 version. To be honest, as soon as there was any hint of the pre-sequel coming to PS4 (which was rumoured before the PS3 version was even out), I was never going to buy it on PS3 just in case.

However, just to be clear, I am not offering adult acts for any form of claptrap. I guess you should probably see MrYd for that one! ;)

  5. I think I’ve been misunderstood! By “adult acts” I was offering anyone who buys me a Claptrap an evening of watching gritty European crime dramas (may contain strong language and scenes of violence). And a nice cup of tea afterwards while discussing who killed who. There may even be biscuits, but you’re not getting the nice ones.

I don’t know what you perverts were thinking I was offering. Does it involve tinkle juice? ;)

  6. I’d like to play the pre-sequel but don’t think I’d bother starting BL2 again. With all the dlc that game was huge!

    • Bloody good game though! I’ll probably revisit it, but most likely to play as a mechromancer or something else that I didn’t bother too much with on the PS3 version.

I’m just looking at it being a bonus inclusion for getting the pre-sequel to be honest!
