The promised 10% discount code, an apology by Sony for the the PSN being down over the Christmas period, is now live and can be used until 9.00am on 26th January.
You can use the code on almost anything, including games that are in the latest sale, but there are a couple of restrictions. You can not use the discount for subscriptions for PS Plus, Music Unlimited, rental video content, or game and video pre-orders.
Additionally, and somewhat annoyingly, if you want to purchase content for use on PS Vita, Vita TV, or the PSP you must use the web store.
The codes are specific to each region so make sure you pick the correct one.

Thanks for this Tuffcub. I can’t decide what to buy though. I think I’ll go for Game of thrones season even though I’ve got it xbone and not prayed it yet, I’m waiting for whole series to come out. Anybody got any other good games? I’m not into resident evil either.
Kennykazey
Tales from Borderlands is pretty good. If you like the humour in Borderlands.
I’ve got GoT on Xbox as well, but haven’t played it either…
DividSmythe
I was surprised myself by Tales From Borderlands too. I got that £35 deal with all the Telltale games on Xbox one. So I see that as waste of money too. I’m not sure I can play the same game again just for trophies. I think I burnt myself out a bit last year.

Not that it would’ve saved me much, but I would of used mine on one of the new dynamic themes which have been released but thats not gonna happen as they only appear to be on the American store. Saying that, the asteroids theme looked good but too fast.
Anyone know what Monopoly is like on the PS4? I was thinking of getting a party-like game for when a few people are round but I had a quick glance at the review scores which weren’t too promising.
Wish they would release a new version of Buzz. We all used to snarl at it, then I bought it one Xmas for a bit of a laugh and me and most of my mates were hooked. We used to all leave the pub early and end up at mine playing Buzz ’til about 3am even though most of us had to be up about 3hrs later.
Carrot381
I spent many an hour playing buzz on the ps2 after the pubs had shut. Fantastic fun
DividSmythe
Agreed I need a new Buzz. I absolutely love Buzz but I think is been laid to rest as we haven’t seen a game for a few years :(
Kennykazey
A new Buzz that uses your phones web-browser as controllers, like You Don’t Know Jack and Fibbage, would be awesome!
double-o-dave
It probably has been laid to rest as I haven’t heard a thing either. I just looked up Relentless software and there’s no talk of it.
Using phones as controllers is a good idea as it could work through the PSN App but I’d much prefer and pay a bit extra for some proper Buzz controllers.
colmshan1990
It would probably work like Singstar, you can use PS2 and PS3 mics with the PS4 game or you can use your phone.
A good way to do it

I bought my PS3 for Buzz!

To get DriveClub or not to get DriveClub, that is the question! Advice?
Is it more F1 or GRiD?
Kennykazey
Project Gotham Racing.
BrendanCalls
Do my dismay I’ve never played PGR, so I don’t know what thats like :-(
double-o-dave
I’ve played very little of these 2 and that was a few years back, but from what I can remember I’d say it’s somewhere in-between. More sim than Grid but more arcadey than F1. Don’t take my word for it though, I could be completely wrong. Hope that was helpful ;)
BrendanCalls
Cheers mate, much appreciated. Looks like lunchtime will be spent watching as many reviews as possible then :-)
Sitorimon
It’s more like Grid when Grid was at its Sim-ist back in the PS2/first one on PS3 era. I have to say, as someone that has continued to fall out of love with the grid series (although autosport was a small step in the right direction), Driveclub takes all that’s good about that series, adds proper car physics, does a gt5 on the damage model (aka none) but makes sure each time you make a mistake, you know about it with speed and stability. I have been so so pleasantly surprised and delighted with the game in the 3 weeks I’ve had it. Hope that helps!
freezebug2
Grid Autosport was/is a massive step in the right right direction in my opinion, I’m still playing the game on a regular basis. I think that a remaster to current gen would blow away anything currently on offer racer-wise.
Saying that DriveClub is a pretty solid game now that the majority of faults and gremlins have been ironed out. It’s pretty to look at and has some good challenges to contend with.
JustTaylorNow
Get driveClub, you won’t regret the purchase at all, it’s a fantastic game, the reviews won’t do it justice cause it was reviewed during all the problems it had bug if it was to be reviewed again it would be 8/9 it’s up there
double-o-dave
^ This man knows what he’s talking about. What he says!
I was going to recommend it myself, but I think everyones sick of me praising & defending DriveClub ;)
Avenger
“I was going to recommend it myself, but I think everyone[‘]s sick of me praising & defending DriveClub”
I wonder what gave you that impression :P
double-o-dave
Thats it, I’m joining the Rebel Alliance! ;)
BrendanCalls
Is it worth £20, just for the PS+ edition though. That’s what I was planning on buying because I didn’t realise it wasn’t the full version. I thought PS+ just meant it was download version
double-o-dave
@Brendan. It is actually the full game.
It was originally intended for people to upgrade to the full version from the Plus version but as the Plus version still isn’t released it enables you to upgrade to the full version immediately.
It’s on the store labeled ‘DRIVECLUB PlaystationPlus Edition Full Game Upgrade’ ;)
BrendanCalls
You’re a legend. Sony or Evolution should pay you commission. You’ve just made them a sale. Cheers pal :-)
Kennykazey
I suppose I’ll use it on the season pass for FarCry 4.
zb100
Was thinking the same although not too keen on the sound of the recent DLC
jonny_bolton
Can’t believe they won’t allow this on preorders either.
MrYd
They don’t take payment for preorders straight away, do they?
Which would explain you can’t use the discount on those. The 10% offer will have expired when they take payment.
Of course, they could change things so their system can offer discounts on payments that haven’t happened yet. But they obviously don’t think that’s worth the extra work for a (hopefully) one-off incident.
So it seems like it’s just a case of “we can give them a little gift if it’s no extra work for us, since we didn’t really need to even do it in the first place”
gazzagb
I considered getting Driveclub for £18, but then I realised you need Plus to play it, and if you loose Plus you can’t. Considering you can get the disk version for roughly the same price, and that has resell value, Sony and Evolution are laughing all the way to the bank for people that buy the upgrade.
double-o-dave
If I remember correctly, I don’t think you do lose it if you get the Plus version & your subscription runs out. I think it’s more of a gesture/deal for Plus users to get a discount and not connected to the subscription service itself.
double-o-dave
Here you go dude
“The regular edition is now priced £34.99 and the PlayStation Plus Upgrade Edition is now £19.99. The latter is available to any PlayStation Plus subscriber, and will always be playable regardless of whether or not the subscription is active.”
TSBonyman
I can confirm, my ps+ sub expired yesterday and my PS+ Upgrade version of Driveclub was still accessible.
aycizzle
UPDATE: Our priority for DRIVECLUB is to enable you to play and enjoy everything it has to offer and PlayStation recognises that the prior plan for DRIVECLUB entitlement for the upgrade to the PS Plus edition was not appropriate. As a result, we have adjusted the PlayStation Plus terms for DRIVECLUB.
Now, If you intend on downloading DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition, and upgrading to the full game experience, you will have access to the full game even if your PlayStation Plus subscription runs out.
gazzagb
Ooh, cheers guys! I had a look at it on the store and it says in capital letters Plus is required to play it.
Will hunt around my inbox to see if I’ve got a plus trial code lying around and then think about getting it tomorrow. I preferred the look of Project Cars with real tracks, but could be tempted by this now.
cox296
So is this an expansive n pack or the full game?. I’m tempted by it at this price but if it’s just an expansion then I may look for something else
TSBonyman
You’d think Sony would correct the store listing to avoid confusion. The PS+ upgrade version of Driveclub is the full game – same content as the retail disc.
boeboe
Bought Never Alone for £6.47. Perfick.
matthangzhou
Bought GTAV with it. Not a great price but saves me getting my lazy ass up and I got the psn credit for xmas
Andrewww
I usually don’t get around to DLC, but now I’m actually tempted by the heavily discounted Bioshock Infinite extensions, to profit twice. And, as I find Alien Isolation incredibly good and can’t stop myself from playing it, these DLCs are very high on the list too. Then, having missed the first Dragon Age, that’s a candidate too, even if it’s ancient. But, I’ll never get around playing all that, so… hmmm…
Andrewww
Oops! Just seen I’ve missed the Dragon Age discount… that was that, one thing less to catch up with… ;o)
element666
I bought driveclub and tales from the borderlands, only cost me £8 really as I used a psn voucher I got for Xmas. Bargain!
