Borderlands The Pre-Sequel Has Graphical Issues On PS4 And Xbox One

So to recap, a Xbox 360 game which ran rather well gets ported to a more powerful console, has a whopping 16gb day one patch… and has frame rate issues.

Developers Gearbox are aware of the problems and investigating screen tear, frame rate drops and lag that many players have reported in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on PS4 and Xbox One.

“Just wanted to pop in and ease everyone’s minds a bit,”posted Gearbox. “The team is certainly aware of both the screen tear and FPS lag issues and are currently investigating them. Needless to say, things are quite busy and we appreciate everyone’s continued patience!”

Oddly, Borderlands 2 seems to run perfectly.

  1. Do studios not test games nowadays?

    • Nope, we do. And we pay them for the privilege.

      • As of lately, this would seem to be the case.

  2. I really like the Borderlands games but I’m not sure I could play a whole collection of them. They’re very samey.

I find myself getting wrapped up in the endless side quests and forget that there’s actually a story. I got very close (I think) to finishing the second one but started loosing interest and moved onto something else. Still have all the dlc from the 1st and 2nd games to play too.

  3. Everyone Borderlands game seems to have lots of issues at launch, they’re best avoided for a while.

  4. Publishers need to get better at delaying games that need more work, instead of this “we’ll fix it in post”-mentality.

They want pre-orders, but it’s usually best to hold off a month before purchase these days.

Nintendo are the only ones I truly feel like I can trust with quality-assurance these days.

  5. is it official that it’s the 360 version and not pc that they ported if so thats bull
