The Witcher 3’s Expansion Pass Content Will Add Another 30 Hours Of Game Time

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to be a large game, and no doubt the main setting itself will see players sink in dozens, if not hundreds, of hours exploring the land. CD Projekt RED has already confirmed there will be 36 different endings alone for the main campaign, and seeing them all will require a huge time sink or a trip to Youtube post release.

Now the studio has released details on the two expansions players will get if they purchase the Expansion Pass, with the two adventures totalling an extra 30 hours of game time. First off is the Hearts Of Stone adventure which will take players to No Man’s Land & Oxenfurt where Geralt much fulfil a mission for the Man Of Glass. This is set to last around ten hours. The second piece of content is Blood & Wine which introduces a new area called Toussaint, and this is going to last around twenty hours according to the studio.

Hearts Of Stone will release in October while Blood & Wine isn’t expected until 2016.

  1. I’m a bit on the fence over Witcher 3. Sadly, them mentioning that the main play-through could amount to 200 hours or so has me rethinking things and whether I even want to get my noggin’ around so much time invested.

    • I’m the same. I’ve sunk a ridiculous amount of time into Dragon Age. Is this bigger? Then Elder Scrolls then FF15.So much gaming hugeness.

    • Dragon Age Inquisition is a fine game and i invested 85 hours into it, but goddamn, looking at the latest Witcher 3 footage, with it’s glorious sunlight and natural-looking environment i think i would happily spend even more time there! :)

    • Could be 200 hours. If you only do the necessary quests and missions I bet it’ll be sub 50 hours.

And it’s not like you have to play it all at once! I used to just have 30-45 minute plays of dragon age inquisition, and I finished it in just over a month. I only played the side activities that seemed interesting.

  2. Im over 100hrs in Dragon age and still have’nt completed it! Looks like Dragon and Witcher will keep me going until No Man’s Sky.

  3. It’s worth mentioning that CDPR are making a free ‘season pass’ of dlc for TW, which starts when the game releases.

I think these other expansions are mainly for the series diehards.
