First Screens Of The Technomancer Revealed, A Post-Apocalyptic Martian RPG

Though Spiders gave an early look at The Technomancer at Focus Home Interactive’s showcase at the start of the year, it was a game that was very difficult to write about. I tried, as you may remember, but you might notice the abject lack of screenshots relating to the game.

That is, to a certain extent, being remedied today, as the game has been more formally announced alongside a pair of screenshots and some handy bullet points of what the game will include.

The Technomancer is a new game set in the same univers as Spiders’ Mars: The War Logs, in which you take on the role of a newly annointed Technomancer. In terms of gameplay, it also follows on from Bound By Flame, expanding the RPG mechanics to encompass four different skill trees, a trio of fighting styles and the electrical powers of the Technomancers.

As you find you and your band of companions on the run from the Secret Police, travelling from one martian city to another, the game will adapt to your actions with a branching storyline, dynamic conversations and options to tackle your objectives in different ways. You won’t always be charging into combat, in other words.

This one’s still quite a way away though, with release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC not planned until 2016.
