Treyarch has released the first trailer that gives a proper look at Call Of Duty: Black Ops III, showing lots of futuristic combat including a section where a soldier’s arm morphs into a gun. That would be down to all the human augmentation that was the focus in the teaser trailer from a couple of days ago. With the drop of the trailer Treyarch has released quite a lot of information regarding the third entry to the Black Ops line, including the fact that the studio is not working on a last gen edition of the game in an interview with Eurogamer.
That doesn’t necessarily mean a last gen version is off the table, but Activision aren’t saying anything about platforms outside of PS4, Xbox One, and PC. What is known is that Black Ops III will have a co-op campaign which will allow up to four players to team up online, and zombies will also be returning in a separate storyline that will be fully available from day one on disc. That is instead of being a piecemeal experience that has to purchased as part a Season Pass or map pack DLC.
It looks like the multiplayer will be evolving upon Advanced Warfare’s system, with player movement being aided by controlled jumps, thrusts, slides and wall runs in maps that will allow players to take full advantage of those tricks. All soldiers will be fully customisable including outfits and weapons. There is no mention of the rumoured Specialist system where players could choose to upgrade three different paths, though that could still be revealed at a later event.
Finally there is confirmation that there will be a beta for those that pre-order Call Of Duty: Black Ops III on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There is no date for when the beta will going live, and I expect that will be announced at E3 in June. Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be releasing on November 6th.

Didn’t like the exosuits in Advanced Warfare, and this looks even worse. All it needs is mechs and it’s Titanfall 2.

That’s my thoughts – disappointed with this whole future-mech-suit thingy.
Thought we’d get more variety with the 3 CoD developers – was maybe hoping for one historical World War game, a current day game, and a future one (to mean the last 2 iterations have been futuristic. Its really not for me, that’s why I have generally preferred CoD over games like Halo, Titanfall, Killzone – I’ve not enjoyed a CoD game since the MP of MW2 and the SP of Black Ops. Perhaps they don’t feel they can compete with Battlefield’s realism, who knows.
I guess this is part of an existing series, so perhaps Treyarch will offer a WW game next time.

Oops, deleted half a sentence, should have said:

So we’ll get a WW2 game in 3 years just as we’re all getting hyped for the PS5 (probably) :(
I’m almost entirely convinced now that legally they can’t, hence all the futuristic settings. Either that or Treyarch are trying to go toe to toe with the real IW to see who’s better, hence why in places I thought I was watching a Titanfall 2 trailer! ;)

Very generic.

sorry but “Fuck Me” what the hell?
this is more advanced warfare than advanced warfare.
this is a complete rip off!

Metal gear meets titanfall meets vanquish. Looks like a CoD I can finally like
