This week’s podcast is a little different. As promised on last week’s podcast, this episode is almost entirely dedicated to spoiler filled chat of Avengers: Age of Ultron. There’s a little bit of games chat at the start of the episode in this week’s breakdown of the news, but that’s followed by a good hour’s worth of Avengers talk.
It’s worth making very clear that you really shouldn’t be listening to this episode if you haven’t seen Age of Ultron yet. Kev, Teflon and I completely spoil every element of the film, and it also won’t make that much sense if you haven’t seen the film yet. If you have seen the film then listen away, and let us know what you thought.

Coming from someone who hasn’t read the comics, I have to say I was underwhelmed by Age of Ultron. It felt less ‘important’ than the first Avengers film, as in, I got the impression Ultron, while cool and very interesting, was just a thorn in the side compared to Loki carrying a greater threat. Hulk and agent romanoff’s relationship was odd and cringeworthy in places. A few of the one-liners and jokes seemed forced and weren’t really funny and killed the tension.
There were plenty of positives, I’d give it 3 stars being harsh. For comparison, I’d give Captain America 2 9/10 as my favourite recent Marvel film.
Looking forward to almost as many films as I am games, 3 just this month.

I thought age of ultron was amazing, it was absolutely epic. They did a great job with ultron aswell. Great voice acting by james spader. Feel people are being really harsh about it
Germanos
To be honest I’m quite disappointed, because SONY cancelled their show at Gamescom. I really wanted to be there, this year in Germany, but without the SONY conference it’s kind of much less interesting for me right now. But maybe the a bit bigger gap between those events will make it better in terms of new/trailers etc. for us gamers.
Well I was a bit hyped when I saw the first news that a proper Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Kind of makes me smile when I look back at the first 3 parts and how much fine I had with them. About the music especially. The OST were just kick ass for those games and with the addition of a really enjoyable gameplay it worked perfectly. The screens look terrible thou, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed in the end the game will be good, very probably not a big hit but good.
Fast forward to 1:37 to not hear anything about the movie, but I promise I will get back to this after I watch the film.
Thanks guys for the answer. I’m just getting ready for the new A/V setup I will have at my new room. With a proper big TV and a home-cinema system. The first thing I would like to see in terms of movies are the Marvel movies. Thanks.
