Thruth be told, it’s next week when everything’s going to kick off, what with the release of The Witcher 3, Destiny House of Wolves and Life Is Strange Episode 3, but that’s not to say that there aren’t a few games to peruse this week as well.
The PS4 in particular has a handful of new games, including Color Guardians, Pixeljunk’s Nom Nom Galaxy, Lost Orbit, Schrödinger’s Cat and the Lost Quark, Toren, Toro and Ultratron – these last three are not related, but they sound like they could be.
There’s also a new bundle for Helldivers, to celebrate the release of the free Turn Up The Heat expansion by bundling one of the new character DLC packs in with the main game, and the PS4 re-release of the Final Fantasy X/X-2 remaster. If you’ve not already played it, there’s the standalone release of The Last of Us: Left Behind. However, we’d definitely advise playing The Last of Us first, if you can.
Finally, there’s an entry for Rocket League Beta 2, which seems to suggest that they’ll be opening the floodgates to all and sundry, to try out the Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars sequel.

AirMech Arena actually managed to sneak itself onto the store last week.
And it’s worth a look at that price. Everything seems possible without paying anything, unless you want fancier looking mechs (which have exactly the same stats as the normal versions).
It’s a strange mix of a MOBA, an RTS, a twin-stick shooter and tower defence. With giant robots that turn into assorted flying machines. Quite a fun little distraction, really.

It might be worth it at that price, ie free – or even €20 at retail. But when an in-game-currency bundle sells for twice the cost of a AAA retail game they are absolutely extracting the urine.

When enough idiots are willing to pay that just for some in-game currency they can spend on different coloured versions of what you can get for free, then sensible people get a whole game for free.
So try not to point out how stupid it is to pay that much or people will stop doing it and the rest of us won’t get free stuff. ;)

I shouldn’t even be looking as i need to finish Bloodborne first so that i can then justify buying The Witcher3.
But possibly Shrodingers Cat, if i get a look at some gameplay first.

Still no gameplay footage for Shrodingers Cat on the store, just a story intro video and some screens which look very messy design-wise. I think i’ll wait.

Is that the PS3 dlc that is included in the PS4 version? I got the PS3 version, but never played it, so was gonna grab the remastered one at some point.

Yes, it’s the story DLC they bundled in with the PS4 version.
Except somehow it’s over 25GB to download. That’s 2/3 of the size of the full game with all the DLC.
That may possibly be because it comes with a 2 hour trial of the multiplayer part of the game. Which really wasn’t much good to start with.
Don’t know if I could be bothered waiting for the download just to play a bit more story. The main game did a lot of things right (it looked and sounded great, with a good story and characters) but the actual gameplay was a bit of a mess and I wouldn’t want to play it a second time.
How long is the DLC? Would it take longer to download than play? Bearing in mind that I’d probably only play through it once.
