Activision and Treyarch have revealed the latest addition to the Call of Duty Zombies spin off and this time it stars Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo.
Set in a 1940s film-noir era, Shadows of Evil introduces four characters, The Magician, The Femme-Fatale, The Cop and The Boxer, who must discover the what the mysterious Shadow Man is up to. That’s what the official blurb says anyway, for the rest of us here’s an easier version: Shoot grubbly things in the face.
The video shows all sorts of horrors alongside the zombies and it appears the characters will have special powers as well. Quite why they haven’t just called it “Resident Bioshock” and be done with it is beyond me, it’s certainly a lot shorter than Call of Duty: Black Ops III: Zombies – Shadows of Evil.

The setting look cool, and I’m really enjoying Exo Zombies in Advanced Warfare. But…my concern with Treyarch’s zombies is that they made the Easter Eggs in Black Ops 2 too annoying and convoluted in the end, so when there is no “end game” or objective, it soon wears thin. That’s what’s so great about Extinction and Exo Zombies. I hope Treyarch change that.

Well done to Activision and the COD devs for taking a slightly new direction, even though it’s a spin-off. Sadly though this isn’t for me.
